Natural Selection’s new premier camp, North Island Okavango, is situated in one of the most beautiful and game rich areas of the Okavango Delta. Inspired by the unmistakable waterways seen from above, Ninepoint created a brand identity that reflects the design ethos of the island camp.

Natural Selection is a conservation-driven safari company offering a portfolio of welcoming camps and one-of-a-kind experiences in Botswana. Following a decades-long love affair with the region, the opportunity arose to lease the uninhabited private island from the northern local community’s Magobagoba Youth Trust and so North Island was born. The camp has become a jewel in the Natural Selection crown, but also a beacon of positive impact for both conservation and local communities.

Ninepoint took inspiration from North Island’s luxurious yet bold interior concepts combined with forms described by the unmistakable waterways seen from above and congregation of Jackleberry trees that encircle the camp. The resulting brand monogram and visual identity is a bold, African-inspired interpretation of luxury. A unique graphic language extends from the brand monogram and symbol: the vibrant patterns of organic shapes in joyful colour combinations become a visual shorthand for the surroundings. A memorable look for a memorable experience and true celebration of nature.
